| PANTHER CAR The Panther West Winds Car Company was started in 1972 by Bob Jankel and built unusual cars, often pastiches of older models. The factory was at the Brooklands racetrack in Surrey. In 1980, the Panther Car Company folded due to cash flow problems. It was re-formed by Kim Young Yi, who built a new factory at Harlow, using aluminium bodies imported from Korea. Models built there were: Panther Kallista with 1.6, 2.8, 2.8i, 2.9i (2.3 on the last Korean built models) Ford engines in various guises, Ford running gear, a complete range of paintwork options, and with a list of optional extras you will find it hard to see any two models alike. Performance is very good, with a 0-60 mph time of under 8 seconds for the larger engined models. A culmination of performance and originality. Approx. 1437 built 1982- 1990
