Ford Scorpio/Granada mk3 Club EE has been established as a non-profit organization in November 2002. At the time of creation it was and now it still is the only one automobile club dedicated to Ford Scorpio/Granada mk3 vehicles in Estonia.

FORD GRANADA.

Scorpio has appeared in April 1985. The only available body was 5-door hatchback. In fact, the basic body existed until 1995. Main features have not changed throughout this period. The variations affected engines, transmissions, electrical installation, and injection. However, those were just small-sized alterations.
In 1990, there was a facelift also, 4-door sedan was introduced, and 1992 brought restyling and wagon body introduced.

In 1995, Ford presented new model (picture n7) that had only a few common things with the previous one (some engines and rear axle hanging) and was issued until the end of 1998.
Scorpio has become unpopular and Ford has omitted his famous line (Granada-Scorpio) from the EuroFord program.

DETALED HISTORY

APRIL/MAY 1985
- Beginning of car production. Engine scale: 1.8, 2.0, 2.0i, 2.5D, 2.8i

Continuous modernization in 1986/1987
- The 2.4 and 2.9 gradually were replaced by 2.8 engine
- Core of the lock in doors and of ignition were changed
- Bathe of a back glass was transferred from separate tank behind to forward
- The kick-down with electric drive instead of cable drive has appeared on AGB

- The chromium-plated internal door-handles were substituted on plastic
- From 1987 slip differential-lock for 2.9 by the order
- ОНС 1.8 engine was withdrawn from production

- The all wheel drive version was introduced

Small changes in 1988/1989
- The catalyzers have appeared (power reduced by 5 hp)
- Unreliable flowmeters on V6 engines replaced by sensors.
- New dashboard material (and clocks)
- The structure of exhaust system at V6 engines was radically changed.
- With appearance of the DOHC engine, as well as on V6, a manual MT-75 gearbox was mounted with the applicable cardan, and AGB received external electronic control by a speed-increasing gear train
- Airlines for the back passengers, as a special audio system output at the end of an armrest was removed from the Ghia version
- Pictogram of the desk of instruments was changed.
- The Merkur Scorpio has appeared

More - less severe modernization 1990
- The sedan, with a plastic strip on a trunk was presented
- Hatchback, as well as new sedan, had bumpers of steel painted in color of a body
- New radiator enclosure with the Ford oval, (except for the diesel version)

- More aerodynamical mirrors.
- The Ghia emblem was moved from front flanks on a trigon of back doors, having changed the form from the coat of arms on sign.
- Repeaters on front flanks, on former Ghia's coat of arms place
- Variations in the electric.

- Fuel pump are fitted inside to the fuel tank.
- ОНС with the applicable box has completely vanished from the program
- Differential-lock for 2.4 and 2.5TD by the order.
- The indexes of modification on trunk were gone.

- Update in heating system (July), vacuum valve was removed
- The same steering wheel on the cars without cruise-controls, as with cruise-control, but without push buttons.

1991
- The Cosworth model (only with automatic gearbox) has appeared.

- New steering wheel and pictogram of a tachometer in a passenger compartment (only for Cosworth)
- The Ghia's coat of arms was returned
- New complet set - Saphir
- All petrol engines with cat. converter

The severe modernization began in 1992

- Front flanks, bumper, hood, grating, front optic and back lanterns were changed
- Strip on a trunk were put both on a hatch-back, and on sedan.
- New dashboard.
- New upholstery of front doors.
- The new selector of automatic gearbox.
- New ceiling.
- The universal (tournier) body was introduced.
- Differential-lock as a standard equipment for V6 engines
- By the order self-level absorbers
- New main break cylinder. New ABS system

Small changes in the middle of 1993
- Extra small variations in a passenger compartment: a new steering wheel with airbag, airbag for the front passenger - Topas modification
- Slide and brake blocks from Mondeo
- Variation of algorithm of operation of vanes at DOHC with the air conditioner
- Identifications of updating on a trunk were reintroduced
- New turbo diesel engine 85kW

Change of the model in 1994/1995
- Almost new cars, except for the old form of a roof, floor & doors
- New front and back flanks, hood, trunk, headlights & tail-lights
- New front suspension
- Completely new passenger compartment
- Wheels with 4 screw bolts, instead of 5
- Hatch-back was withdrawn from production
- All wheel drive modification was withdrawn from production
- The 2.4i V6 engine was vanished from scale
- Changes at the Cosworth engine, the power was increased by 12 hp
- Chromium-plating of a window line was removed

In 1995 - 44521 copies, 1996 - 21746 copies.

Modernization in 1997/1998

- The 2.0i-16v engines were vanished from scale, and 2.9i V6-12v were replaced with the new 2.3i-16v engine
- The form of radiator enclosure was changed
- The Ford ovale on center of an enclosure
- The form of tail-lights was changed
- Front bumper was changed
- Front lights was changed
- The sign of an engine volume on front flanks

In 1997 - 20441 copies, 1998 - 6079 copies.

1999
- The car was withdrawn from production
- Were assembled only 5 copies
